Biography

Helen is a Junior at UCCS working on completing a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Prior to attending UCCS, Helen achieved her associate’s degree at local state college; she achieved honors multiple times at PPSC, and upon completion of her first semester at UCCS, she was admitted to PsiChi. Helen is greatly looking forward to expanding her knowledge of metacognition and neurodivergent adolescents while working under Dr. Selmeczy. Following completion of her undergraduate degree, Helen is planning on pursuing a PhD with a focus in clinical psychology, specifically neuropsychology and children's studies. 
When she’s not studying on campus Helen can be found hanging out with her spouse and cats at her home in Fountain. Due to her love for cats, she volunteers as a feral cat colony manager in her free time. Helen also enjoys reading, discussing philosophy with the unsuspecting, and watching documentaries about every possible subject.
