Jade is 21 years old and is from Colorado. She is a full-time student at UCCS, a part of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society, is a caretaker for the elderly, and a nanny. Jade is a dual major in criminal justice with an emphasis in psychology. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a psychologist while earning a master's degree. Her ultimate goal is to get a Ph.D. and work as a forensic psychiatrist. In the summer of 2023, Jade started working as a student assistant with the Colorado School of Public Health. The role includes gathering information from adults and children to determine how PFAS-contaminated water has impacted their health. Jade is excited to work in the Cognitive Development Lab. This will be a helpful experience in her understanding of essential skills such as data entry and other research skills.
